This is the second album by Portland-based guitar/drum/drum trio ALTO!. 

ALTO!’s first LP was a sprawling, uncompromising slab of noisy rhythm-oriented rock sound.  Their 2^nd album, also self-titled in the early solo Peter Gabriel tradition, finds them both tightening up and expanding out. 

Within the album’s four tracks you will find hypnotic loop-based rhythmic jams, Congotronics-style heaviness, a heretofore unseen hint of Residents/Thinking Fellers influence, and in the final track, an utterly unclassifiable amalgamation of gamelan, Harry Partch, drone, and exotica.   

CDs are professionally pressed (not CD-Rs!) in beautiful full-color slim jackets.
